In June of 2024, Alaskans achieved a historic win when the Bureau of Land Management decided to revoke the right-of-way permits for the Ambler mining road. It was a rare example of the federal government listening to Tribes and the will of Alaskans.
And yet, foreign mining interests continue to exert pressure to pave the way for the development of Ambler road. We will not stop. We will continue to stand up to defend this spectacular region, its communities, and its wild landscapes.
