This year, the Brooks Range communities achieved a historic win when the Biden administration’s Bureau of Land Management chose the “no action alternative” and formally acknowledged the best path forward is no Ambler road, which would have carved through Alaska’s Brooks Range region to facilitate a devastating industrial mining district in Northwest Alaska. 

Communities across the region went on record to oppose this road and Alaskans spoke up from the Yukon to Juneau. The message was clear: No Ambler road. And yet, Senator Dan Sullivan is attempting to reverse this decision and pave the way for the development of Ambler road. Congress must stop him. We need everyone to speak up and tell Congress to listen to Alaskans and defend the Brooks Range!
